A beautiful home in it's prime! Wonder what it looks like now. This photo was taken a number of years before 1916 as a photo of this house appeared in a book published in that year, called Pictou: Nova Scotia's Northern Port. http://www.parl.ns.ca/pictou/dhpurvis.html The hedges in front of the house had grown to nearly double the height shown in this photograph.
